Gorgeous Australian swimmer Ian Thorpe has everyone wondering if he's gay or straight after revealing that he is taken by 'someone' special.

Thorpe who recently retired from competitive swimming admits there is someone in his life, but that's about all he is saying.

"There is (someone special in my life), but they don't live in this country," Thorpe told The Sunday Telegraph.

Interesting how Ian avoided using a better pronoun such as he or she. This has sparked a lot of people to wonder if Ian Thorpe is gay and ready to come out of the closet.

Thorpe has said in the past that he quit swimming to get a life, we just didn't that he could be looking for a gay one.

He's no Michael Phelps, but you can guarantee I wouldn't turn Thorpe away if he came knocking!
