Hottie San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom is thinking about running for Governor of California, and I think it's a wonderful idea!

I'm pulling for Gavin not just because he's pretty, but because Mayor Newsom is the pioneer behind California's new gay marriage laws.

In early 2004, Newsom ordered the city of San Francisco to grant a marriage license to any couple requesting one, straight or gay. That resulted in May's state Supreme Court decision declaring a fundamental "right to marry" in California that extends to same sex couples.

Newsom has created an exploratory committee to look into his chances of becoming Governor. Gavin says he'll make his decision about entering the race by the end of the year.

He sure would be MUCH better to look at than Arnold!
