As promised, Cynthia Rodriquez filed for divorce from her famous baseballing husband A-Rod on Monday citing infidelity in court documents.

"The marriage of the parties is irretrievably broken because of the husband's extramarital affairs and other marital misconduct," according to Cynthia Rodriguez's petition for dissolution of marriage, filed in the family division of Miami-Dade County Circuit Court.

Alex Rodriguez has, of course, recently been linked to Madonna. The Material Girl denies any romantic involvement with A-Rod, but that isn't stopping Cynthia's attorney from pointing fingers.

Cynthia's high profile attorney Earle Lilly says that Alex's relationship with Madonna was "an affair of the heart" – not "sexual infidelity."

"Madonna's name is not even mentioned in the papers," says Lilly. "We don't want the public to think this is an aggressive action against Madonna."

Cynthia and Lilly are accusing A-Rod of becoming entranced by Madonna and her practice of Kabbalah.
