Manhattan hot spot 1OAK accused of ignorning gay bashing

One of New York City's most reputable nightclubs has come under fire for ignorning a gay bashing.

The Meatpacking District's hot spot, 1OAK, evidently had a serious gay bashing inside their venue that landed one guy in the hospital. Instead of addressing the issue, the management at 1OAK completely seemed to ignore it.

Two people were allegedly attacked by a man inside the club and were called "faggots."

The folks over at Gawker have put1OAK under the microscope to find out what really happened.

Here's the response they got from 1OAK which is owned by club veterans including Butter frontman Richie Akiva , Lotus co-owner Jeffrey Jah, and former Ashley Olsen boyfriend Scott Sartiano:

"Unfortunately, the situation that occurred at 1OAK was out of the establishment's control. 1OAK is cooperating fully with the necessary parties and hope the matter is resolved immediately. This inappropriate behavior is not acceptable and will not be tolerated."

The statement actually came from their reps at Shadow PR. What a diplomatic statement. Nothing more?
