Heinz mayonnaise ad pulled over two men kissing (watch commercial here)

A Heinz television commercial in the U.K. has been pulled from the airwaves after getting complaints from approximately 200 viewers.

The viewers reported the mayonnaise ad to the Advertising Standards Authority saying that it is not appropriate for all audiences since two men kiss in one scene of this commercial:

"It is our policy to listen to consumers," said Nigel Dickie, director of corporate affairs for Heinz UK. "We recognize that some consumers raised concerns over the content of the ad and this prompted our decision to withdraw it."

The ad isn't really meant to be gay themed, but clearly some people found it offensive.

I thought we have come a lot farther than this, especially across the pond!
