First Gallup poll shows Obama and McCain in statistical tie

firstpollstattie.jpg

This year's Presidential race is already too-close-to-call!

The first Gallup poll is out as we enter the second full week of general election campaigning.

Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain are statistically even in the latest Gallup poll. Obama got 44 percent to McCain's 42 percent in tracking surveys conducted June 12-14. With the margin of error at +/- 4, there is no clear winner.

Obama seems to have the momentum over McCain after the Republican's failed attempts to corner the Democratic nominee on his turf at a town hall meeting.
