The Cindy McCain rumors come one day after Democratic contender Barack Obama told the GOP to lay off his family.

"I think families are off limits. I would never consider making Cindy McCain a campaign issue," he said. "And if I saw people doing that - I would speak out against it. And the fact that I haven't seen that from John McCain I think is a deep disappointment."

This is a good chance for Obama to put his money where his mouth is. I expect a statement from his campaign denouncing the relevancy of any extra-marital affairs Cindy McCain may have had.

After all, in Obama's own words: "family are off limits."
