Daughter of NY bishop reveals his secret gay past
Paul Moore Jr., a now deceased New York Episcopal Bishop, evidently had a secret gay past despite the fact that he was married with children.
Bishop Moore's daughter, Honor, has written a tell-all book in which she reveals that her father had gay relationships.
In her memoir "The Bishop's Daughter," said she knew of the Episcopal bishop's gay romantic relationships for nearly 20 years. Honor decided to wait until now to reveal the stories, and her siblings are upset saying their father wouldn't have wanted his "private life" exposed.
"Doesn't it matter, even when someone is dead, that his most fervently held private life, and the unnecessary explicit details of his marriage, are exposed against his wishes? We believe that it does matter, and that both our parents' good legacies have been damaged," Susanna McKean Moore, Paul Moore III and George Mead Moore said in a written statement.
Honor claims that the Anglican church knew of Bishop Moore's bi-sexual tendencies before his death in 2003.
