Whoopi Goldberg deemed master of ceremonies for the Tony's

Whoopi Goldberg will be hosting Broadway's 62nd annual Tony Awards next month. The View moderator will be the first solo emcee for the Tony's after two years of multiple presenters.
This is Whoopi's first time to host the Tony's, but she is no stranger to the stage of awards shows having hosted the Oscars four times.
She actually won a Tony as producer of the 2002 Broadway musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie."
"I'm very excited to be hosting the Tony Awards," Goldberg, 52, said in a statement. "I love Broadway and I'm thrilled to be doing anything for the first time. I'm gonna have a blast."
Whoopi recently walked away from her morning radio show, but she hasn't really said much about it.
I heard she was axed at KTU in New York to make room for Ryan Seacrest who might eventually move this way to take Regis's job.
