Veteran Senator Ted Kennedy rushed to the hospital by helicopter

Senator Ted Kennedy has evidently been rushed to the emergency room.
CNN says that the veteran Senator may have suffered a stroke, but local TV stations are reporting that Kennedy's condition is unknown.
Senator Kennedy was taken to the hospital by medical helicopter from the Kennedy compound, so it could be something pretty serious.
Kennedy is second longest serving member of the Senate. He has recently been campaigning for Presidential hopeful Barack Obama.
At 76, good ole Ted has an extensive medical history. A 1964 plane crash, which killed a pilot and one of Kennedy's aides, caused serious back injuries. Fellow Democratic Senator Birch Bayh of Indiana, who was traveling with Kennedy, pulled him from the wreckage.
This is breaking news, and we will keep you informed.
