I HEARD... 'Austin A' on JDMA? More club crackdowns?

I HEARD... that Marc Jacob's rebound boy "Austin A" (why is this kid hiding his last name anyway??) is trying to get a spot on season four of the "Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency." A source close to Austin tells us that JDMA has contacted the aspiring model, but our insider at the agency can't confirm that. "Everyone wants to be on the show," our source said. "We generally don't look for people who are trying to sleep their way to the top," they joked. "Janice's style is to hold open calls." If Austin lines up at the mall, I'm sure he'll get the same bitchy treatment that everyone else does!
I also HEARD... that New York City's twink haven, Club Rush, is changing their Friday night promotions plan to offer 2-for-1 drinks rather than $4 across the board. I guess that means the theme won't be "$4 Fridays" anymore. DJ John Marto is still on board, but it is unclear which promoter is taking the reigns. Not enough patrons at Rush are old enough to drink or even have a fake ID. Now, that's sad huh?! Does the only twink club in town really need more promoters anyway?
UPDATE: I saw the promotion on both Alan Picus' BoiParty site and Chris Ryan's site. It looks like it's the same promoters with a new promotion.
I also HEARD... that the NYPD is about to crack down on clubs that allow patrons under the age of 21. Those of us who have been around the nightlife "scene" for a while have been anticipating this one! Evidently the city is tired of waiting on a compromise from club owners that could include such out of pocket costs as extra security and high tech video cameras at the doors. Instead, I'm being told the NYPD is ready to send in undercover officers in an attempt to cut back on underaged drinkers. Legislation will most likely soon require that all patrons show identification to prove that they are old enough to drink alcohol for club entry, if I had to guess.
