Gay Indiana college student says attack was hate crime

ballstateuniversity.jpgBall State University student Kyle Flood and his friends were evidently attacked outside a bar in Muncie, Indiana. Flood says his group was targeted because they were gay.

Kyle says some guys approached he and his friends and started cursing and verbally gay bashing them when a fight broke out. Flood was take to the hospital and treated for cuts and bruises.

The attack, Kyle says, was a hate crime. Police have no information on arrests in the case, and campus cops say gay bashing at Ball State is rare. They are, after all, attending Ball State University.
