Gay couples in California can't get married just yet

It looks like gay couples in California will have to wait at least 30 days before they can tie the knot, maybe even longer.
When the California Supreme Court ruled that gay couples should have the right to marry, many same-sex lovers headed for their local court house to tie the knot.
Evidently, it doesn't work like that. Gay wedding didn't start happening immediately after the state court's new ruling came down.
Local courts told gay couples that they had to wait at least 30 days to get married putting the magic date at July 15th. The County Clerks also notified couples that it may take even longer since there is a lot left to work out.
