American Idol hopeful David Cook was briefly hospitalized on Tuesday night after the live performances.

Evidently, Cook was stressed to the max! But he looks so (too) confident on stage, what gives?

The lesson here: Don't be too cocky, it might give you a heart attack.

Sources at Idol (aka Ryan Seacrest, I'm guessing) tell E! News that Cook was feeling light-headed before his performance, but he went on anyway.

After the show, David was rushed to the hospital and treated for anxiety and high blood pressure.

Maybe David is more anxious than cocky? Either way, he doesn't really seem to have that much to be worried about. He's doing fine in the Idol competition!
