Gloria Steinum's controversy bleeds over to the View
Over the weekend, Feminist Gloria Steinum attacking John McCain's record asking if "killing people is a qualification for ruling people?"
Conservatives everywhere are all bent out of shape saying it is unpatriotic to questions McCain, the former prisoner of war, on his military credits.
Steinum, who is a Clinton supporter, even managed to turn the ladies at the View against each other Monday morning.
Republican talking head Elisabeth Hasselbeck called Steinum's remarks "dispicable" and "evil." Joy Behar asked what was so bad about her comments.
Joy said all Steinem did was say that military service does not necessarily qualify one for the presidency.
Steinum said "suppose John McCain had been Joan McCain and been captured, shot and been a POW for eight years. The media would ask ‘what did you do wrong to get captured? What terrible things did you do while you were there as a captive for eight years?’"
I think she has a good point. I am not saying John McCain is not qualified, but I agree that just being a POW hardly qualifies him for the highest office in the land. If so, Jessica Lynch has found her calling!
