Sara Evans is engaged to marry Jay Barker, a former quarterback at the University of Alabama, according to People magazine.

Evans filed for divorce from former political candidate Craig Schelske in 2006 while she was a contestant on "Dancing With the Stars."

Sara and Craig finalized their divorce in September 2007.

Barker is the host of a morning radio show on WJOX-FM in Birmingham, Alabama. He also helped lead Alabama to a national championship in 1992.

A wedding date for Evans and Barker has not been set.
