Breaking Nightclub News: Is one of Jersey's oldest gay clubs closing?

NIGHTCLUB SCOOP

New Jersey's gay magazine "Out in Jersey" is reporting that long-time gay club Feathers is closing.

According to the magazine's report, the building is going to be sold and Feathers is going to go out of business.

Feathers' DJ and promoter Steve Sidewalk posted the following on his MySpace page denouncing the rumors.

"Please help and support Club Feathers. Nothing is wrong but unfortunately a NJ gay magazine - Out In NJ - is falsely publishing stories that Feathers is being sold and closing. This is simply NOT TRUE. The place has been around for over 28 years."

Steve holds a Retro dance party at Feathers every Wednesday. This week, the club will offer a $1 drink special in celebration of their existence.

Feathers is located at 77 Kinderkamack Road in River Edge. Go show them support Wednesday!
