Rodney King, the man who made headlines after he was videotaped being beaten by Los Angeles police in 1991, was shot and wounded in Southern California late Wednesday night.

King called Rialto, Calif. police just before midnight to report that he had been shot while standing on a street corner.

King was evidently struck in the face and arm with what appeared to be pellets.

When police arrived at King's home, they reported that King and others inside appeared drunk.

It is not known whether Rodney tied one on before or after he got shot.

King was treated for his wounds at a local hospital and is expected to recover just fine!
